Yes, all singles must be over the age of 25 to rent a room at El Matador.

How do I know where my unit is located within the building?

Each unit number has 3 digits that denote what building it is in, which floor it is on and where it is located on that floor. The first digit of the unit number is the building. The second digit is the floor and the third digit is the location on that floor. While standing at the entrance of each building, the units would start at the left with zero and numbered consecutively thru nine which is the last unit on the right (example: unit 452 would be building 4, fifth floor, and third unit from the left end of the building).

There are two elevators for each building except for building six.  Building six has a service elevator that is available if needed.

Is there a shuttle service?

There is a city shuttle service that picks up directly outside of the El Matador gate and makes several stops throughout Fort Walton Beach.

Can I set up a tent on the beach?

Tents are allowed to be set up on the beach. All tents, umbrellas and chairs must be removed each night so that the beach can be cleaned.

Beach service is available for an extra fee that would be paid directly to the beach service company.  They can be contacted at www.sunsetbeachservice.com. We do have a few units that include beach service with the room.

We have two pools. One is heated seasonally.

There are no restaurants or stores located on the property. However, there is a store located within a mile of the property and restaurants located within 2 miles.

Yes, there are several charcoal grills located throughout the property.

Are there washers and dryers in the units?

No, but there are community washers and dryers on each floor of each building that are coin operated.

Are the kitchens fully stocked?

The kitchens are fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, glasses and silverware.  However, there are no food items such as spices, salt & pepper available in the unit.
